Endovenous Laser Ablation

Endovenous Laser Ablation (closure) is designed to eliminate dysfunctional varicose veins and restore normal blood circulation. This procedure, which is minimally invasive and performed in an office setting has revolutionized the treatment of varicose veins and is widely used today.
A very tiny laser fiber is inserted into the dysfunctional varicose vein under localized anesthesia with guidance of ultrasound visualization. The fiber is positioned in the faulty veins using pointed laser energy, causing the vein to seal. The venous blood is thus redirected to other, normally functioning veins, restoring normal blood flow. Complications caused by varicose veins then start to reverse, resulting in healthy legs.

Chemical Varicose Vein Ablation

Painful, bulging varicose veins are best treated by injecting a foam sclerosing solution (Varithena), which causes the veins to stop functioning, thus signalling to the body to disintegrate them.
